Sorry Pittsburgh, You Lose
Mark Cuban Told No

This is unfortunate. In a sport where ownership means so much, the Pirates could have benefitted greatly by having an owner like Mark Cuban trying to win. This team has been reeling for years and the best medecine for losing is a competitive billionaire in a sport without salary caps.

And don't you think Cuban would do things right in Pittsburgh? He is a proven business man. I am sure he would start pumping up that farm system. Signing the best draft picks and retaining the good players who might otherwise get picked off in free agency.

In fact, I wonder if he would like to try and buy the Cleveland Indians.

Indians are Number 1

At least according to ESPN's off-season Power Alley.

Obviously this is a little silly considering the amount of talent which normally moves off-season in Major League Baseball, but I will take any respect where I can get it. This team is bringing back a ton of players that were responsible for the run in the second half of the season.

This team finally has a base of players on the roster that might need to be reckoned with.

C.C. Sabathia, Cliff Lee, and Jake Westbrook will be back on the pitching staff. Victor Martinez, Travis Hafner, Jhonny Peralta and Grady Sizemore will be back on offense. That alone is enough for the Tribe to earn respect apparently.

Let's hope that translates into the kind of season that I think this team might be capable of producing.

Terrell Owens Not Coming Back this Season

Terrell Owens might be the worst teammate in the history of organized team sports.

You know some team will take another chance on him next season. Would you? How would you justify it?

Would the Browns be well served to get a playmaker like him, or is it the deal with the devil that you just can't survive?
